Class Descriptions

All classes start and stop on time. The door is never locked after the start of class - although we discourage tardiness as it disturbs those who have already begun their practice, late-comers are not turned away.

Myofascial Release Yoga: Myofascial release refers to the technique of applying gentle pressure on 'trigger points' to release tension in the connective tissues or fascia that bind and support our muscles, organs, bones, joints, nerve fibers and other structures of our body.
Duration: 60 minutes

Yoga for Every Body: Cultivate space and stability through this breath-centric, mindfulness based practice. Move and flow at a pace that allows each pose to come into focus, using inner listening and outer cues for proper alignment and stability. This class integrates breathing techniques to deepen the postures, and ends with deep relaxation for integration. Beginner friendly and suitable for all levels - come explore your edge!
Duration: 60 minutes

Zenful Yoga: 40-50 minutes of mindful movement then 10-20 minutes of meditative and restorative yoga poses held for longer periods of time. A relaxing meditation will close each class.
Duration: 60 minutes

Beginner Vinyasa Flow: A slower paced class, offering variations of full postures, and repetition within each flow sequence. More verbal instruction is given, and questions are encouraged during the session. A great class to take if you have physical issues or are a beginner.
Duration: 60 minutes

All Levels Vinyasa Flow: A moderately paced class, offering full and variations of full postures, so all levels are welcome. A few Sun Salutations begin the class, then progress through standing poses, balance positions, seated, inverted, then closing postures.
Duration: 45-60 minutes

Yin/Restorative Yoga: Targeting the connective tissues, such as joints, fascia, tendons and ligaments, postures are held from 1-10 minutes. Props are used to support and assist release in the body. If you've only experienced the Yang (strong) side of postures, then you've only experienced half the posture. We need Yin (restful) and Yang to be balanced.
Duration: 50-60 minutes

Core Class: This class focuses on core centric movement and how strength is intitiated from the core to move the entire body. This is a mind-body class where we explore and develop three- dimensional and functional movement such as walking patterns. Core stability is explained and experienced using small props, flex balls, 1/2 foam rollers, blankets, and tennis balls. An added bonus of myofascial releases are experienced on the rollers and tennis balls.
Duration: 60 minutes

Core Focused Yoga: With a focus on core strength, the class begins with core conditioning, then progresses though traditional asanas (poses). To develop core strength, constant reminders will be made to help tap into the energy locks in the abdominal area. Creative visual images will be offered to assist in finding and building the core.
Duration: 60 minutes

Gentle Yoga: As the name states, these movements are gentle, easy going, more Yin than Yang in a sense. If you are sensing low energy, not quite up for a Vinyasa Flow, but still want some movement, try this gentle class.
